Unshakeable Community
Right when I arrived in Pinehurst, NC on December 30th for Candace and Pasquale's big day, one thing became immediately clear: these two are loved. Not just by each other, but by a massive community that would show up and show out to celebrate BIG on their wedding day. I walked into The Old Church to find Pasquale and not one, not two, but more than 13 of his nearest and dearest celebrating, laughing, and getting ready.
The energy over at The Fair Barn was palpable too; while Candace got glammed up by her hair and make up teams, friends and family were hard at work finalizing details, beautifying bouquets, and getting dressed. When the guys arrived, P's groomsmen did a first look with Candace and were as excited to see her as her girls were. Of course, she couldn't let anyone get too sentimental, and kept the guys in check by ICING them upon the reveal.
The reception space was magical; The Fair Barn is a gorgeous wedding venue in North Carolina that fits large groups like this one with ease (this 200 guest bash felt perfectly intimate and comfortable). Twinkling lights were strung across the high vaulted ceiling, and white billowing fabric hung along with them, turning this venue into a winter wedding wonderland, with an outdoor ceremony space under the trees.
There was a hum of love and excitement throughout the ceremony on the grass behind the barn. Smiles shone bright as Candace walked the aisle down to her groom and confetti fired for their first kiss, facilitated by the bridal party in perfect sync. Then the party headed inside and the resounding sentiment of love for these two only amplified. Under the lights, guests laughed and cried at heartfelt speeches. Close friends who now shared an anniversary with C&P hit the dance floor for an anniversary dance. Guests of all generations danced the night away.
The wedding was truly defined by the love every guest held for this couple. All 200 people were true close friends of the two, and it made for the most heartwarming day - the perfect way to wrap up the year.
